WEATHER ALERT – U.S. Embassy Tegucigalpa, Honduras (November 4, 2020)

LOCATION: Honduras

EVENT: The center of Tropical Storm Eta is forecast to move across Honduras later this afternoon through the morning of Thursday, November 5, 2020.

As the storm progresses, the National Hurricane Center predicts Eta to generate rainfall amounts of 10 to 20 inches over Honduras, with isolated areas of eastern Honduras receiving up to 40 inches.

Expect heavy rains through Sunday, November 8, 2020, with possible landslides, flash flooding, power outages, and difficult travel conditions across the northern departments of Honduras.
