U.S. Citizen Services

General Notice: Cancellation of all consular appointments June 3-7, 2019

The criminal vandalism directed at the U.S. Embassy in Tegucigalpa on the afternoon of May 31, 2019, caused damage that has forced the Consular Section to cancel all visa appointments and routine services for U.S. citizens for the week of June 3 – 7, 2019.  Until access for visa applicants and U.S. citizens is restored, the Consular Section is unable to offer any new appointments.

The Embassy has cancelled all consular interviews for the week of June 3 – 7 and will notify these applicants of the cancellation of their appointments via e-mail.

The Embassy has also cancelled the special appointment days for services for Social Security and other federal benefits services that were originally scheduled for June 4 and 5 in Tegucigalpa and June 6 in San Pedro Sula.

U.S. citizens who believe they need emergency services should e-mail USAHonduras@state.gov and consular staff will work to make alternate arrangements as necessary.
