On behalf of the Government of the United States of America, I congratulate the people of Honduras on the 198th anniversary of your independence.
The United States and Honduras are bound by ties of geography, commerce, values, and family. We share a strong commitment to increasing prosperity for all Hondurans, improving regional security, strengthening democratic institutions, combating transnational crime, and fighting corruption. We look forward to further expanding our cooperation with the Honduran government and people.
