Due to the increase in sporadic, unplanned demonstrations and traffic delays, we advise U.S. citizens to postpone or cancel unnecessary travel within Honduras at this time. Demonstrations have become increasingly dangerous, including rock throwing and tire burning. Road closures are causing extreme traffic delays and limiting access to airports throughout Honduras.
U.S. citizens are reminded that the tone of any large public gathering can change quickly and will likely cause significant traffic delays.
