The U.S.Embassy Tegucigalpa has been made aware of a March to Casa Presidencial starting at Universidad Pedagogica on Wednesday, July 8th. Reports indicate the march is likely to begin at approximately 3:00 pm.
The group for this march is union workers. Past protests have been peaceful however, U.S. Citizens are reminded that the tone of any large public gathering can change quickly and will also most likely cause significant traffic delays.
The Embassy has no information that suggests that this protest and/or other actions are directed against U.S. citizens. Please also ensure that you are aware of the march and the proposed route, and are taking the appropriate precautions.
