Message for U.S. Citizens – Re-Opening of Consular Agency in San Pedro Sula and Adult Passport Renewal by Mail as of June 1, 2021

The U.S. Embassy in Tegucigalpa, Honduras is pleased to inform the public that the Consular Agency in San Pedro Sula will re-open on June 1, 2021. 

The Consular Agency in San Pedro Sula will only be open by appointment for passport and notarial services. Walk- ins will not be admitted.

 The U.S. Embassy in Tegucigalpa, Honduras is also pleased to inform the public that effective June 1, 2021, eligible adult U.S. passport holders may renew their ten-year passports or passport cards by mail.

A renewal application applies only when you are renewing your previous, 10-year validity U.S. passport or passport card issued less than 15 years ago.
