Airports Open for International Flights with New Entry/Exit Requirements
Effective August 17, airports have resumed international commercial flights with additional biosecurity measures. All travelers entering or exiting Honduras are subject to the following requirements.
Entering Honduras:
- Passengers must provide negative COVID-19 test results prior to travel. Travelers must hand-carry the negative test results for a PCR or rapid test taken less than 72 hours before entry into Honduras. Passengers must show the test results at check-in.
- All travelers must complete the immigration precheck form at https://prechequeo.inm.gob.hn. Travelers must answer all immigration, customs, and health screening questions to receive a confirmation email. Travelers must print and carry this email with them.
Exiting Honduras:
- All travelers must complete the immigration precheck form at https://prechequeo.inm.gob.hn. Travelers must answer all immigration, customs, and health screening questions to receive a confirmation email. Travelers must print and carry this email with them.
- There is no COVID-19 test requirement to leave Honduras.
All airport personnel and passengers will be required to follow strict biosecurity measures. All travelers are required to wear face covering, maintain social distancing, and use sanitizing gel as instructed.
Although commercial travel has resumed, the Department of State has issued a Level 4 Travel Advisory (Do Not Travel) for Honduras. Travelers to Honduras may experience travel prohibitions, stay at home orders, business closures, and other emergency conditions within Honduras due to COVID-19. All U.S. citizens who choose to travel to Honduras are strongly encouraged to follow all biosecurity and curfew requirements.
