The Information Resource Center (IRC) is part of the Public Affairs Section of the United States Embassy in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The IRC promotes better understanding of the United States of America by providing authoritative, relevant and timely information about current issues, as well as about the people, history, culture, values and institutions of the United States of America.
The IRC aims to serve those who, in connection with their work, need information about the United States’s foreign and domestic policies, history, culture, and values.
The IRC collection includes reference books, periodicals, scholarly journals, and electronic databases.
IRC resources are intended to meet the needs of government officials, media, non-governmental organizations, business community, scholars and students, and others with professional-level interest in the United States.
Journalists, academics, students, or researchers wishing to visit the IRC must make an appointment by telephone or e-mail.
