Demonstration and Traffic Disruption Notice

The Embassy has received information about two demonstrations that are scheduled to take place today in Tegucigalpa:

  1. March of the Torches, sponsored by Oposición Indignada, will start at the entrance to Kennedy neighborhood and will end in the Presidential Palace, starting at 5:00 pm
  2. March Against Corruption, sponsored by LIBRE, FNRP and Plataforma Indignada, will also start at 5:00 pm at the Radio Globo building, visit an undisclosed GOH Official’s house and then join the other demonstration at the Presidential Palace.

As both marches will take place simultaneously in the same sectors of the city, traffic will most likely be affected. The Embassy recommends limiting mobilization between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm.
